At about 12:30PM, Thursday, December 10, 2009 our editor tried to take a copy of the Daily Planet from the box located directly in front of the main downtown post office, and directly across the street from the YMCA. 

Here is what he found.  Note again the day and time.  This was just six hours or so after the Daily Planet had hit the streets, and the location was one of the most important in Berkeley.

Two other boxes on University Ave. were empty but less trashed.  Finally he found a few copies in a box at 6th and University.

No doubt, Becky O’Malley will publish letters bemoaning the “fact” that Berkeley’s deranged Zionists are stealing all her precious papers and replacing them with garbage (garbage in, garbage out, as they say).

All we can say is that that ain’t so.  But what actually gives at the Daily Planet is anyone’s guess.
